Description

Rapidly detect Clostridium difficile toxin A and B from human fecal specimens using Thermo Scientific™ Xpect™ C. difficile Toxin A/B Test. Combine excellent clinical performance with a simple, three-step procedure that offers accurate results within 20 minutes with less than one minute hands-on time. When you need STAT testing or 24/7 coverage, choose Xpect.

Use this rapid, lateral flow immunoassay for the direct qualitative detection of Clostridium difficile toxin A and B. Enhance laboratory performance and efficiency with excellent clinical sensitivity and specificity and a simple walk-away procedure.

Xpect C. difficile Toxin A/B uses antibody-coated colored particles to bind with target antigen in the diluted sample. The colored antibody/antigen complex moves along the test membrane. Immobilised antibodies specific to target antigen capture the color-labelled antigen complex at the test region, causing a clearly visible line to appear. This line will not appear in the absence of specific antigen. Immobilised, non-specific antibodies in the control region capture the color-labelled antibodies, whether antigen is present or not, resulting in a clearly visible control line.
  • Clearly visible, easy-to-read results within 20 minutes
  • Less than one minute hands-on time
  • Integral control for added confidence
  • Excellent sensitivity and specificity
Trust the entire family of Xpect rapid tests to deliver unparalleled diagnostic performance while offering ease-of-use, convenience and time savings. Each test is an immunochromatographic assay with a simple procedure that provides rapid, cost-effective detection to aid in the diagnosis of infections.
