Sodium iodide hydrate, Puratronic™, 99.999% (metals basis), Thermo Scientific Chemicals
Description
Sodium Iodide is used in the synthesis of dye-sensitized solar cells. Also used in the preparation of propargylamines as inhibitors of lysine specific. Demethylase. Used in photography and as analytical reagents. They are used in the measurement of the energy of gamma rays, by measuring the amplitude of pulses of light generated by electrons which are excited by the gamma rays and in the Finkelstein reaction via an SN2 pathway, detection of radiation, and in the conversion of an alkyl chloride into an alkyl iodide. Sodium Iodide is used in PCR and to produce chemokines, particularly CCL2, CXCL8, and CXC14 by stimulation of thyroid follicular cells.
